adventures in weekending: memorial day bbq

Follow these steps (in no particular order) to ensure you have a delightful Memorial weekend barbecue:

Have a water balloon fight.

Eat.  Go for seconds.

Wear your coolest shades.

Splash water in people's eyes.

Have a 3 year-old take your picture.

Take a nap before (or during) bbq festivities for a quick refresher.  Barbecues are no joke.

And do it all over again the next day, if possible.

How was your weekend?  Anyone bring in the unofficial start to summer with some fun in the sun?

This looks an absolutely wonderful weekend! John and I had a perfectly lazy time, and I feel like I just went on a week-long vacation!

Glad all of you liked the first photo. I was quite proud of it! I chalk it up to lucky timing!

Anait - I hear ya! It was so hot, I was itching to take a dip in the kiddie pool myself.

Lena - That sounds great! A part of me wishes I would have just been lazy like you and John. I feel exhausted from the weekend! Don't you wish we could have like a post-Memorial Day holiday? Now that would be a real treat!

Omigosh, I want to hug your weekend, Jillian!!! It's soooo adorable.

:) Water balloons, I need to work those back in my life.

I'm also really touched you thought of me via a mug, lol. Please take a pic if you happen upon it again.
