adventures in weekending: december

The whole month of December has felt like one giant weekend to me. I was smart enough to save a bunch of my vacation days for the end of the year, so I've gotten used to the extended weekends that are sadly no more. Between the getting settled in to a new place and the holiday frenzy, December has been one cuh-razy month. But it's the good kind of crazy. In spite of the running around and a few brief moments of rest, I love how 2011 ended and I love how 2012 is starting out.

Trips to Ikea are a favorite activity of mine. I dream of living in their perfectly-styled, creatively-spaced rooms.

Dinner and drinks with Bob's family at DeStefano's. If you're ever in Williamsburg, this cozy steakhouse is a must.

A rather successful experiment in air freshening, naturally. More on this later.

Watching Bob prepare dinner is another favorite activity of mine. For the obvious reasons.

My aforementioned short breaks have consisted of plentiful amounts of coffee (much needed) and Lunch in Paris.

Our New Year's Eve plans kind of fell through, so me and Bob kept it laid-back with dinner at a local bar and fancy night at home with champagne, wine in martini glasses and homemade brownies.

I'm glad to be back in the swing of things. Can't wait to do some catching up!

Your NYE sounds a lot like mine - keeping it close to home with the ones you care about. Happy 2012!

I LOVE Ikea. It's such a treat to make a trip over there. I always want to sprawl across the beds and 500 Days of Summer makes me want to go on a date there :)

Sounds like a fantastic December! I've never been to DeStefano's, I'll have to add it to my ever-growing list.
Happy 2012 to you!

Oh man I was working a lot this Christmas and didn;t quite get into it until actual Christmas day (note for next year: take a holiday!).

Thinking about IKEA I think my flat would be unfurnished without it haha

IKEA is like crack to me. It's better if I stay away.
Happy New Year, love!

The orange peels have me very curious about your little experiment. Whenever I go to Ikea, I get lost in everything there. I think I get overstimulated.
